BMW X-Series M Sports get a facelift

Recently BMW introduced the newly revised facelifted X6 M and X5 M . There are no real radical changes to either SAV but some how it looks and feels quite fresh. Some of the minor changes include  a new layout with LED technology for both head and tail lights. Full-LED package will be available as an option on the X5 M for a mere $2000. Both vehicles are sporting larger air intakes on the front bumper. Besides those small changes, they both come with some new color options for the exterior and new fabrics for the interior. Some of these distinct design features such as blue-painted calipers, new multifunction ‘M’ seats and Mogello Red leather upholstery.

Both X-Series M vehicles retains the 4.4-litre twin turbo V8 of the previous model, putting out about 555 hp at 6,000 rpm and 502 ft-lb of peak torque between 1,500 and 5,650 rpm. This pushes the X5 M from 0-62 mph in about 4.5 seconds, with an estimated top speed of 155 mph. The X6 M does it in about 4.7 seconds. The X6 M is a little more fun to drive, besides the more aggressive stance. Both SAV's come with standard Adaptive Drive, air suspension, EDC, anti-roll bar and a braking system with 396 mm discs on the front and 386 mm at the back. Let's not forget the huge 20" M sport wheels.

There are plenty of aftermarket companies that are already working on upgrades for this vehicle. The twin-turbo V8 is a great platform to work with. There will be an abundance of options for the motorsports enthusiast to decide from. It's a fun vehicle with great potential to be a monster. Check out some more photos below and even a video. Only because we love you!
