iPad 2 HD to be released before the iPad 3
According to the latest iPad 3 rumors, there will be an iPad 2 HD released before the iPad 3. The iPad 2 HD will be sold with the iPad 2 and serve as a higher end version of the device to cater to the more serious tablet user. The iPad 3 is now set for a 2012 release.
The iPad 2 HD is being said to have a similar relationship to the iPad 2 as the MacBook and the MacBook Pro. The MacBook laptop is more for the average user while the Pro model caters more to those users interested in more power, as well as graphical and video editing. The iPad 2 HD will be perfect for those who want a more powerful digital media tablet than is currently available.
The iPad 2 HD is expected to be equipped with the highly anticipated iOS 5 operating system. So far October is the rumored release time for the the new iPhone and iPad 2 HD, that will both be sporting the iOS 5 system. We think Apple will be saving some of the more exciting features on iOS 5 exclusively for the iPad 2 HD though. We are sure Apple will find some new stuff to throw in the iPad 3 for the 2012 release date. They will have time to re-work it, plus do all the updates and enhanced features for the iOS 5 system by that time.
The price has not yet been set for this high end tablet, but it would likely exceed the $799 price tag. This is very likely because the current 64GB iPad 2 is about $650 and the new iPad 2 HD is said to be far superior to the average tablet. With that being said, this tablet is not for everybody. The iPad 2 HD is a high end graphical and editing powerhouse designed to enhance the experience of the individuals who use this device professionally. So if your just a modest tablet user, just wait for the iPad 3.
