iPhone 5 - Report Rumors
The new iPhone 5 is rumored to drop really soon. Almost everyday a new rumor comes out about Apple's new highly anticipated phone. According to a new report fresh out of China from the China Times, the new iPhone 5 may come with near-field communications (NFC) technology to support mobile “e-wallet” transactions. The new iPhone 5 may also feature a new 4-inch scratch resistant touchscreen, which is a half-inch bigger than the 3.5-inch screen of the iPhone 4. Apple has figured out a way to increase the screen size without increasing the overall size of the phone. They have achieved this by fitting the new iPhone with an edge-to-edge touchscreen. The report also hinted that the new device will include Apple's new A5 dual-core processor, which was debuted in the new iPad 2.
The new iPhone 5 is also said to have a redesigned metal chassis meant to improve antennae functions and signal strength. Customers definitely complained about the iPhone 4's poor antennae design. The iPhone 4 poor design was blamed for diminished signal strength when the phone was held in certain ways. So hopefully the redesigned case is more than just a rumor. Apple has had a lot competition from companies like Motorola and Samsung. We are sure Apple's next-gen smartphone will have all the latest and greatest features when it drops.
The next-generation Apple iPhone is currently in the “trial production stage” with a rumored Summer 2011 release. This Summer is looking good already.
