All though some may argue that the "camera" is becoming obsolete due to our fancy new multimedia phones. Sony recently announced its new GPS-enabled DSC-HX100V Cyber-shot camera with 30X optical zoom and full HD video shooting capability at the touch of a button. This camera is not for the average person that just snaps pictures every once and a while. No sir, this is for the avid photographer or hobbyist.
The Sony DSC-HX100V Cyber-shot is one of Sony’s first compact digital still cameras to include a 27mm Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonar T lens with 30x optical zoom and a 24mm Sony G lens with 16x optical zoom combined with a full HD video capability. The Cyber-shot DSC-HX100V camera also features a manual control ring that can be custom assigned to adjust focus or zoom. With the high-speed auto focus feature, Sony DSC-HX100Vprovides you with a smarter way to focus with DSLR-like speed and the GPS/Compass function makes them ideal for your trips this Summer. The camera and a full range of accessories will be available as soon as April. The Sony DSC-HX100V will cost about $450 or so.
