The Maybach Exelero Project

The Maybach high-performance show car "Exelero" was unveiled to the world for the first time in the Tempodrom in Berlin. The 700-hp two-seater with a V-12 biturbo engine is a unique custom model produced for Fulda Reifenwerke. With over 750 lb-ft of torque, the Exelero accelerates from 0-62 mph in less than 4.5 seconds. Mr. Reifenwerke is using the Maybach Exelero as a reference vehicle for a newly developed generation of wide tyres named the Fulda Carat Exelero - "State of the art in tire design".  Maybach built this unique model as a modern interpretation of its legendary streamlined sports car from the 1930s, thereby forging a link with the historical predecessor.

The Exelero embodies the highest expression to date of the Maybach individualisation strategy of offering specific custom solutions on request. In initial tests on the high-speed track in Nardo (Italy), the unique vehicle reached a top speed of 218 mph! Developers at Maybach designed the custom model with the participation of students from Pforzheim College. The Exelero was built by the prototype specialists at Stola in Turin (Italy). There are no plans to produce the model in series. This model is full custom special order only. So you can't just buy one these, it can only be custom built. The estimated cost of this custom special order Maybach is around $8 million. Check out the detailed pictures of the interior and exterior.

And yes Jay-Z has one!
