2012 McLaren MP4-12C

Does McLaren have a Ferrari killer on its hands? The new McLaren MP4-12C is a very highly anticipated exotic sportscar with refined design and jet-fight speed. The twin-turbocharged, 3.8 liter V8 engine in the MP4-12C produces 592 hp, according to factory performance specs. The engine hits its torque peak at 443 lb-ft but holds it up from 3,000 - 7,000 rpm. The combination of that kind of power  
and the light weight Carbon 'MonoCell', the MP4-12C can reach top speeds of over 205 mph. This new McLaren can do 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds and 0-124 mph in 8.9 seconds. It can also run thru the quarter mile in 9.1 second at 134 mph.


The MP4-12C has a curb weight of only 2,866 pounds, by using such lightweight materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum. Because of its light weight construction, McLaren say the MP4-12C will get around 20 MPGs! All this refined design, performance and great MPGs can be yours for $231,400 including shipping. There will be 10 retailers initially in the North America, concentrated heavily around big cities and along the coasts. They include New York,  Los Angels, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco and Toronto. This car is rumored for a summer release.
