2011 BMW M5

 

The new 2011 M5 is based on the new F10 2011 BMW 5-series. Flared fenders all around, dual exhaust, large sporty wheels and the signature 'M' gills on the side, set this car off. The aggressive and sporty styling is one things the BMW 'M' program is known for. Of course all the gadgets, bells and whistles you would need in a vehicle of this caliber. The new M5 will likely be equipped with Efficient Dynamics technology to reduce emissions levels by 30 percent. The best feature of this car is no doubt the engine.  

The 2011 BMW M5 has a 4.4-litre V8 bi-turbo producing 578bhp and about 530lb-ft of torque. A more powerful version of the BMW X6M's twin-turbo V8 engine. The turbocharger makes it the first M saloon with Force Induction. The top speed is 'governed' to about 155mph, but without the 'government' the top speed would be around 188mph (303km/h). The M5 accelerates from 0 to 60mph in about 4.3 seconds which is about 0.3 seconds faster than the previous model.

No word on the official price of this awesome machine but the last one was about $85k, so expect something around that price.  This executive business sports saloon is worth the premium pricing. Check out some renderings and the official teaser video below.
